A hair treatment salon needs things a cutting salon does not: a sealed room, extraction, a steamer, bond-builder stock, and staff trained in hair chemistry rather than hairdressing. Racecourse maintains all of it.

Chemistry Is a Separate Discipline

Cutting and colouring are different crafts, and treatment is a third. The technical team at Racecourse handles keratin, botox, rebonding and correction. Your stylist will hand you to them when the work calls for it.

Diagnosis Before Prescription

Hair treatments divide by what they fix. Structural damage needs bond repair. Frizz needs smoothing. Texture change needs rebonding. Dryness needs moisture. Prescribing the wrong one wastes money and can make matters worse.

The technician performs a wet-stretch test. Healthy hair stretches and returns. Damaged hair stretches and stays stretched. Severely damaged hair snaps. That single test decides whether you leave with a treatment plan or a repair plan.

Frequently Asked

Can you treat coloured hair?

Yes, and coloured hair usually needs it. Lightening breaks bonds and raises porosity, leaving hair fragile and fast to lose moisture.

What causes frizz?

Three things. Humidity frizz means a lifted cuticle letting water in. Damage frizz means broken bonds, worst at the mid-lengths and ends. Dryness frizz means moisture loss across the whole head.

Will you ever refuse a treatment?

Yes. Hair that snaps on a wet-stretch test should not receive keratin or lightening. We propose a repair course first. It costs us the booking and saves you a haircut.

How do I know if my hair is high or low porosity?

A float test. A shed strand dropped in water sinks quickly if high porosity, floats if low. High porosity needs protein and sealants; low porosity needs heat and lightweight humectants.

How much do treatments cost?

Keratin from Rs.3,000 by length. Hair botox and rebonding from Rs.4,500. Professional hair spa from Rs.4,500.
